The Special Trafalgar Downpipe kit is designed to be used, in conjunction with the standard downpipe kit (supplied with the greenhouse),to join the gutters up across the rear of a Hercules Trafalgar greenhouse, in order to direct rainwater into a single container. This is useful in circumstances where space is limited and there is only sufficient room for one water butt.
The kit comprises 2metres of 36mm diameter pipe, one 90degree bend, one 45degree bend, one 'T' piece collar and two fixing clips.
Q. Could I use this rainwater kit with my green house? It is a Simplicity. Or is there a kit like this for mine. Many thanks Elaine
A. Only the Hercules range of greenhouses can accept our SPECIAL rainwater kit. However, your Simplicity greenhouse can use one of our Simplicity Standard Rainwater kits (At a cost of £20). The FIND ME QUICK CODE for this kit is 00056.
Q. Will this kit fit an Elite greenhouse?
A. Please call 01782 398600 for us to attempt to supply an Elite kit. If you do not know the make and model of the building then please e-mail several pictures of your building to [email protected] who will diagnose the make of the building.
Q. £20 for a pair of Simplicity downpipes? I would prefer the Hercules Trafalgar pipe kit. Can it be used on a Simplicity Greenhouse please?
A. The Hercules Special Rainwater kit is not compatible with the Simplicity range of buildings unfortunately. Please feel free to enter "WATER COLLECTION" into our web-site search bar. This will give you a list of accessories that will enable you to amend the route that your water takes.
Q. You supplied me with what I think is a Hercules 8 x 10 special with all the trimmings and I now need the fittings for two Ward slimline butts. I did cobble some pipes together but they must now be replaced. Please can you help?

No instructions came with the kit. Would have been better if it came with a referenced design . Was bought post buying and assembling greenhouse. We are very happy with the greenhouse.

Does the job but needs silicon sealer to secure the joints and prevent leaks.

Excellent greenhouse. Good quality, nice coating and relatively easy to assemble. Excellent packaging and parts labelling, helpful and very careful delivery driver. Impressive follow-up technical assistance from the company. I would definitely recommend this supplier. The manual could have been clearer, particularly with respect to the extension module connections (mine is 14' long) and where long/short bolts are required.

A bit expensive for one 2m pipe, 3 fittings and 2 brackets! It would have been nice if screws were included as the ones recommended were way too small! Following the instructions was quite straightforward and a useful piece of advice (not on the spec sheet) is that brackets are not required for greenhouses up to 6ft in width. Having installed it it does work okay.
