This paraffin heater is suitable for up to 6' x 8' sized greenhouses and is ideal if an electric supply is not available.

Best course of action for lighting:
Firstly ensure that the heater reservoir is full of good quality paraffin.
The wick will draw up paraffin through capillary action but needs a few hours after filling to do this.
If the wick is dry pour a little paraffin onto the wick to ensure it is damp but no so paraffin is spilled all over the burner.
To Light:
Turn the wick up so it is just visible.
Light the wick and then turn it down so that it it cannot be seen, this will result in a low flame.
Q. Is this suitable for your 6 x 4 greenhouse? If not what would be suitable?
A. Hello, yes the single burner would be fine in a 6x4 greenhouse.

Good enough to keep our 8x6 greenhouse at about 3 Celsius above outside temperature, we have it bubble wrapped too. Good heavy base especially when full, and chimney reasonable quality. Is quite smelly of course so have to ventilate on warmer days if wanting to work inside. Think we get about 50th’s burn time from 4Ltrs of paraffin but still playing around with wick adjustment.

Paraffin heater exactly what I ordered,very sturdy, but could do with extra wicks, the ones supplied were not long enough,. Otherwise brilliant

Good quality product. Keeps 6x6 uninsulated glass greenhouse about 3 degrees above outside temperature, so ideal for frost protection. Last night was 6degrees and my lowest nighttime temp in greenhouse was 9.5degrees. Clean burn, easy to adjust wicks. I'm not sure about the "SNUFFER" as I have to tweek the blades open again to allow wicks to pop up again, so I just blow out flame instead.
