    Aluminium framed louvre with 5 toughened glass slats. Powder coated green, to be an exact match for Simplicity and Hercules greenhouses. The colour code is RAL6005 "Moss Green".

    Add louvres to your greenhouse to improve air circulation and prevent plants diseases. The louvre replaces a 24" x 18" (610mm x 457mm) piece of glass, however if you are ordering this louvre with a greenhouse, we will adapt the glass plan for you accordingly.

    It comes with a manual handle so that you have complete control of the air flow, however if you wish for this to be automatic opening according to the temperature, then team it up with the thermoforce auto-louvre opener.

    The addition of a small hydraulic damper which we have called 'hydraulicheck' to the Mk7 Autovent, creates an autovent suitable for use in severe weather conditions.

    It only allows the vent to be opened slowly but it can shut quickly. Whilst the Mk7 Triple Spring model offers an adequate degree of protection in most cases, lightweight vents can suffer wind damage in severe conditions. The solution is the hydraulicheck fitting, advisable in areas where severe conditions are encountered. Dimensions and lifting capacity are identical to the Mk7 standard unit.     Bayliss MK7 Auto opener for a vent

    Designed for aluminium or timber framed vents measuring up to 60cm square (2ft square) lifting  a load of up to 6kg (14lbs).

     

    Provides a maximum opening distance of 12 inches (30cm) and can be set to start opening at approx. 55F (12º). Supplied with full fixing kit and instructions. The standard Mk 7 autovent is supplied in a satin anodised finish.

 Greenhouse auto-vent suitable for opening top hung aluminium or timber framed side vents measuring up to 3ft x 2ft (900m x 600m). 

The extra springs on this auto-vent give a closing force of approx 1.8kg (4lbs) and can be set to start opening at approx 55F (12º).

Can also be fitted to roof vents in exposed positions to increase resistance to wind flutter.

There may be some drilling required to fit these to certain models

Q. Will this opener fit my greenhouse windows. No, what i really mean is are greenhouse windows a standard size?

A. Most greenhouse roof-vents are around 2' x 2'. The Bayliss XL Vent is recommended for any building that in in an exposed area.

Q. Hi im about to purchase g/house. what is the best base/foundation. ie flags or concrete

A. Paving slabs are generally a better option than concrete as the joints between the slabs allow excess water to drain away.

Q. Is this auto vent suitable for a timber framed window.

A. Yes, the Bayliss XL Opener is suitable for a timber window frame up to 7.5kilograms.
